The terms for using Schemafy

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Schemafy governing your use of the Schemafy website, the free online schema tools, and the Schemafy WordPress plugin (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Schemafy provides tools to generate, edit, and preview Schema.org structured data and SEO metadata, plus a WordPress plugin that publishes JSON-LD markup on your site.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability.

3. Free online tools

The free web tools run in your browser and are offered for your own use in creating structured data for websites you own or are authorized to manage.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and the markup you publish.
• You must validate generated markup (for example with Google Rich Results Test) before relying on it.
• The tools must not be used to generate misleading, deceptive, or spam structured data.

4. Plugin licenses and billing

The Schemafy plugin is available in a free version and in paid Pro plans. Purchases, licenses, renewals, invoices, subscriptions, and refunds for Pro plans are processed through our billing provider, Freemius.

Pro licenses grant you the right to use the paid features on the number of sites permitted by the plan you buy. Access to updates and premium features depends on an active license.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its output as your own competing product.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by the plugin license or by law.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or its infrastructure.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices contained in the Service.

6. Intellectual property

Schemafy, its website, tools, plugin code, logos, and content are owned by Schemafy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

The structured data and markup you generate for your own content remains yours. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service to you beyond the license granted to use it.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated markup will result in rich results, rankings, or any particular outcome in search engines.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schemafy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service (if any) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Freemius for billing and may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, and their terms apply to your use of them.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms when the Service or applicable practices change. The latest version published on this website is the one that applies, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.
