Local Business
Schema strategy for businesses with a physical location — show hours, phone and map in local searches.
Schema strategy for local businesses
Local schema markup makes your business information visible in Google before the user even clicks. Especially powerful for "near me" and "[city]" searches.
Priority schemas
| Schema | Where | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| **LocalBusiness** | Homepage | Hours, phone, address, map in results |
| **FAQPage** | Contact / FAQ page | Expandable common questions |
| **Review** | Testimonials page | Star ratings in results |
| **Event** | Events and classes page | Google Events carousel |
What you gain
- Business hours visible in Google without requiring a click
- Clickable phone number directly from search results
- Address with Google Maps link embedded in the result
- Better visibility in "near me" and "[business type] in [city]" searches
Recommended setup flow
- Smart Builder → LocalBusiness (or Restaurant) with complete data:
- Full address with postal code and country

- Geo-coordinates (latitude/longitude)
- Price range
- If you have multiple locations: one LocalBusiness schema per location page
